3.5.6. Transaction management¶
- This chapter includes layout and code logic of record/search/edit/clone transaction.
3.5.6.1. Voucher menu¶
- On clicking Transaction menu from master menu, we get the list of all voucher types.
- The layout of list items is included in res/layout/transaction.xml.

The below method generates the list of account name by voucher rule.
For example if transaction type is contra, this method filters the account names that comes under contra.

3.5.6.2. Tab host¶
- On clicking the voucher type from listview, a new screen appears which includes two tabs, ie. Create voucher and Search/edit/clone voucher.

Create voucher layout includes fields such as Account type(Dr/Cr), Account name, Amount, Voucher date, Project name,Reference No., and Narration(filling naration is not mandatory).
Values are sent to database using Save option.

On table row click, it builds the alert dialog which includes 3 options : Edit, Clone and Delete voucher.
- Edit: Except Reference No., all other fields are editable.
- Clone: It duplicates information on an existing transaction, to create a new one without having to enter all the fields.
- Delete: To delete the transaction.
On selecting any of these options, we have added the respection actions.
